For work, I have to lug 500lbs of camera equipment around the world. We hire someone specifically to help with it (AC’s have the hardest jobs). It’s all fine and fun but having a personal camera that is tiny and can be coerced to take great photos is really a wonderful thing.
I’ve settled on two cameras for personal use:
It’s basically discontinued if it hasn’t been already. The Canon M line probably doesn’t have much of a future but the philosophy behind them I love. Small and easy but with the features of a real SLR camera. 30+ Megapixels ain’t bad. There’s a couple great lenses, namely the 22mm pancake for it’s portability and the 35mm prime because it is sharp.

2. Halide Cam on iPhone
With the iPhone ripping a 48mp sensor nowadays, this app takes images that are *sometimes* indistinguishable from a real camera.
